WHAT:
My painting style is loose and expressive. I specialize in acrylic, oil, and watercolor paintings and mixed media artworks of all sizes, including abstractions, landscapes, portraiture, and still life artworks. Visit my Commissions page for examples of my style and previously commissioned works.
HOW:
Commissions require four to eight weeks from start to finish; this allows painting and drying time. My process relies on artist-client engagement; in-progress images and feedback loops are essential to delivering clients precisely what they want. I like collaborating between myself and the client so that the client's vision comes to life!
PROCESS:
The commission process begins with clients customizing their work of art including a description of their vision, uploading reference images and choice of artwork dimensions.
When describing their vision and uploading reference images, I ask clients to detail the mood of the artwork, an occasion for which the artwork is made, and the interior decoration of the intended room for the commission, along with three to five reference images and examples to support the client's vision. Criteria should include but are not limited to color palette, content details, and subject matter.
The next step is a collaborative effort to bring the client's vision to life! I prefer the process to be an open and honest dialogue between artist and client using the description and reference images. Clients choose from preliminary composition and color palette sketches. Upon finalizing aesthetic details, the sketch serves as a guideline for the finished product. Image updates will be sent to the client promptly during the process.
The process concludes with dry-time, packaging/wrapping, and ensuring the artwork arrives safely to the client. Each finished artwork includes installed hanging hardware and a hardcopy receipt of sale. Works on paper have a protective clear plastic sleeve.
DELIVERY/PICK-UP/SHIP:
Clients have two options for receiving their commission. The artwork can be delivered if the client is local or shipped using the United States Postal Service for U.S. and International shipping.
EXPEDITED COMMISSION FEE:
A fee of $500.00 is added to the client's 'Shopping Bag' as an extra line item upon checkout if the client should need the painting expedited to completion within two to three weeks.
